    Cathedral of Christ the King

    Whitehern Historic Home & Gardens

    Situated amidst idyllic in park like surroundings, this Georgian House was built in 1852 and has been restored to its original state. The home was owned by the McQuesten family, who established the Royal Botanical Gardens and McMaster University. Visitors can see family furnishings and browse through memorabilia, including children's toys. The ornamental gardens are particularly noteworthy. This establishment is a National Historic House.

    Dundurn Castle
    This restored 40 room Victorian mansion was the home of Sir Allan MacNab, a former Prime Minister of the United Provinces of Canada. The house accurately recreates life as it was in the mid 19th Century for the MacNab family and their servants. Costumed guides offer one hour tours of the property.
